Location for a fishing trip on the Test is perfect - accommodation is excellent, very quiet with a fantastic view, the lodge itself has everything you need and is spacious with plenty of light. Having stayed in many places nearby over the last 15 years I would not choose anywhere else in the future.

We absolutely adored the lodge and the River is beautiful! Tessa and Simon were fantastic hosts, and their tips for places to eat were brilliant. We really couldn't have asked for a better weekend & very much hope to be back!

Gorgeous studio barn right on the River Test. Incredibly comfortable with every amenity thought of by the hosts. Quiet and relaxing yet near wonderful places like Stockbridge and Winchester

This was a really special place. It was so calming after being in the city. Waking to the mist rising over the river and watching the ducks splash around will be a memory I keep for along time. Simon and Tessa were the perfect hosts. Just the right amount of help without being intrusive. The bed was big and comfortable and there were lots of lovely touches like treats on arrival and Neals Yard toiletries in the bathroom. Whellwell is the perfect chocolate box village with lots of beautiful county walks along the river or in the hills around. The pictures and the details don't do it justice. It's the the feel of the place that's impossible to capture. We'll be telling all our friends to go. Highly recommend!

A perfect location and apartment for a peaceful trip away in the countryside. Walking routes on the doorstep, with various pubs and restaurants within a short drive. The owners also made sure the apartment was very clean, which is much appreciated in Covid times!

This is hands down one of the best Airbnb's I've been to. The lodge is absolutely beautiful, lots of natural light in the morning and stunning outdoor space. The Airbnb had a fully equipped kitchen and everything was to a very high standard. Tessa and her husband Simon were also absolutely lovely and made our stay there delightful. Would absolutely love to come back!

This lodge is perfect if you’re looking for a cosy trip away in beautiful surroundings. Right by the river, the lodge has everything you need for a relaxing stay- a comfy bed, a well equipped kitchen and stunning views of the river. We would highly recommend The Fisherman’s Lodge - it was exceptionally clean, lots of stylish touches and thoughtful additions. We really liked the guide of areas to visit and recommendations of places to eat. The hosts were very friendly and helpful but also provided the perfect level of privacy. We cannot fault it!

This place is absolutely lovely - located right by the river. A really fantastic place to get away for a few days for a bit of quiet and relaxation. The lodge is finished to an amazingly high standard - the photos don't do it justice! We had a really peaceful stay and we couldn't even hear the guests in the adjoining lodge - really perfect and exactly what we were looking for! Would highly recommend :-)

Really nice stay. Everything was of excellent quality and to a really high standard, the barn was beautiful. Hosts were really welcoming and friendly. Can’t fault anything, we would definitely recommend to others and will certainly be returning
